Job Role: Paralegal/Secretary/Assistant

Location: Hassocks

Bennett Oakley Limited is a firm of solicitors and we are looking for an experienced Residential Legal Paralegal/Secretary to join our Hassocks conveyancing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions.
  • Preparing and drafting legal forms – Contract, TR1 & AP1S.
  • Carrying out searches, ID verifications, and other pre-completion checks (i.e. bankruptcy searches).
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
  • Maintaining accurate case files and updating the case management system.
  • Dealing with files post exchange and preparing for completion.
  • Assisting with post completion formalities and Land Registry requisitions.
About You
  • Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal support role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using case management systems.
  • Team orientated and friendly approach.
