Residential Conveyancing Completions Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancing Completions Assistant to support our busy Residential Property team. This role focuses on managing completions and post‑completion work across a range of residential transactions, including shared ownership matters.
You will work closely with fee earners, clients, housing associations, lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors to ensure transactions complete smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory and lender requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and issuing completion statements
- Requesting, checking, and chasing mortgage advance monies
- Carrying out pre‑completion checks and ensuring all conditions are satisfied
- Managing completion day processes, including the transfer and receipt of funds
- Handling post‑completion work including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
- Assisting with shared ownership transactions, including liaison with housing associations and compliance with scheme‑specific requirements
- Liaising with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors as required
- Maintaining accurate file records in accordance with firm procedures and risk management requirements
- Delivering a consistently high standard of client care, in line with the firm’s Client Care policy.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience working in a residential conveyancing environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced completions setting
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Competent IT skills and experience using a case management system
- Experience handling completions and post‑completion work
- Experience or familiarity with shared ownership transactions
- Understanding of lender requirements and Land Registry processes
