Michaela Sargeant
Michaela is an approachable lawyer who acts with the utmost efficiency, integrity and professionalism at every stage of the process.
Michaela qualified as a Legal Executive in 2013 and has always specialised in Family Law.
Michaela has experience dealing with private law children matters including with whom a child is to live and with whom they will spend time, prohibited steps and specific issue orders, removal from jurisdiction and child abduction, domestic violence including non-molestation and occupation orders and cases involving children, divorce and civil partnership dissolution, financial matters within divorce/dissolution and unmarried family breakdown and issues arising under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act.
Michaela also deals with Cohabitation, Pre-Nuptial, Post-Nuptial and Separation Agreements.
Michaela is an approachable lawyer who believes strongly in managing expectations from the outset and providing clients with clarity, relatable advice and a thorough understanding of the situation at hand.
Michaela is a member of Resolution meaning she upholds the Resolution Code of Practice which promotes a constructive approach to family issues. She is also part of the Resolution West Sussex Regional Committee currently in the role of Press Officer.
Outside of work Michaela is a Trustee of two charities and plays an active role in her children's school as a Parent Governor and PTA Vice Chair and Treasurer. She also co-leads the Creative Team at her church in Horsham. She enjoys music, creative writing, reading and going to the gym.
