What is the difference between leasehold and freehold?

With a leasehold property, you own the property for the length of your lease but not the land it stands on, this is owned by the freeholder. With freehold, you own both the property and the land outright.

Can I extend my lease?

What are service charges and ground rent?

Leaseholders usually pay service charges for the upkeep of communal areas and ground rent to the freeholder. We review these terms to ensure they are fair and transparent.

Can I buy the freehold of my property?
